About Stuart

Native-first landscapes.

I’m a landscape desinger based in Abington, Pennsylvania. I work with homeowners across eastern Montgomery County and the nearby Philadelphia suburbs on projects ranging from small front yard renovations to larger, multi-phase landscapes featuring native plantings, woodland edges, and outdoor garden rooms.

My design work is rooted in plant science, aesthetics, and sustainability, with a strong foundation in native plant design, landscape restoration, and nature-based solutions. I earned my graduate degree in Landscape Architecture at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art and Architecture.

I’m also actively involved in local stewardship and community forestry. I serve as Restoration Manager for Friends of High School Park in Elkins Park, PA, and as Social Media Director for the Abington Township Shade Tree Commission.

Before launching my design practice, I worked in education and counseling. I bring that experience into every project by listening carefully, translating goals into a clear plan, and creating landscapes that feel intentional and livable.

My background includes an undergraduate degree in psychology from Muhlenberg College, a master’s in school counseling from the University of Tennessee, and a doctorate from Temple University. I’m also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania.

Driven by craft and ecology.
